ALC is located in Bassano di Grappa (District 108 TA1 Italy) in the office of the Secretary General, Past District Governor (PDG) LF Guido Cella.
ALC is managed by a Board of Directors, whose members consist of one delegate per member district, appointed according to the rules of every individual Lions district for a period of three years. Their re-election is possible for another period.
Their participation is free of charge except for the reimbursement of expenses, which must be approved in advance by the sending district. This board of directors constitutes the board of ALC.
The respective district governor is free to attend the meetings of the Board.
The meetings of the Board shall be open to all Lion members of ALC member districts, unless a majority of the Board determines otherwise. However, they do not have the right to speak or vote, except to present an activity or when specifically requested by the President of the Board.
Responsibilities of the Board:
Election of one of its members from each separate district as president and vice president (annually), secretary and treasurer (every three years)
Regulation of relations between member districts
Elaboration of proposals for initiatives and projects within the framework of the Lionist service idea to achieve the goals of ALC
Determination of the annual dues of the members in the clubs
Annual meeting in one of the member districts to select project proposals submitted by the member districts
Vote on a Lions district's application to join an Alpine or bordering Lions district
Vote on exclusion of a member district by a two-thirds majority
Ensure information work on activities in the ALC through the existing and future communication tools to be created and linked to the member districts
Within 4 months past of the end of the official Lions year, to submit the financial and annual report, including the balance of assets and liabilities, for the fiscal year ended June 30 of the previous year. The financial year is the same as the Lions year.
